Service Description
Come and Join Master Potter Sean Flint at Flint and Gaia Studio to have a hoot making some terracotta owls! During this 2 Hour Workshop you will be guided through how to make the structure of the owls by Sean Flint the Ex-Denby Master Potter. Each one can be a different shape by manipulating each one differently. You can choose to add clay to your spherical owl for its beak or eyes depending on the style you are after. Using dowel with different shape ends you will be able to press different patterns on the clay surface. You can then choose to either have your owl a gloss or matt finish. Workshops are kept at a maximum of 8 people to make for a nice intimate experience. What’s Included? Your ticket includes full tuition from a professional master potter, use of facilities and tools, firing and glazing of 3 owls. Any additional makes can be fired at an extra cost. Ticket price is per person. Soft drinks and biscuits also included. When will I be able to collect my pieces? Your pieces will be fired and glazed and will be ready for you to collect between 4-6 weeks. Your pieces can be posted at an extra charge. Things to consider: An apron will be provided but pottery is very messy as the apron may not protect all clothing. Please wear clothes you don't mind getting mucky! It will be easier for you if jewellery such as rings, watches and bracelets are removed. Long nails should be avoided. This will make your experience extremely difficult for you. Ticket price is PER PERSON. No spectators will be allowed in the studio due to space. This workshop is suitable for the ages 12+ due to skill level. All of those aged 16 and below need to accompanied by a paying adult.

Cancellation Policy
Individual Bookings Your booking fee secures your place – we cannot reserve places without full payment. If we cancel or alter the session, a full refund or the option to rearrange will be offered. Group bookings Full payment is required on booking. Group bookings are for a maximum of 8 participants. Due to space, no more than this will be permitted. Individual places on a group booking will not be refunded. If a member of your party can no longer attend, it will be up to you to fill this space or pay the ticket of the missing party member. If we cancel or alter the session, a full refund or the option to rearrange will be offered. If you cancel your booking less than one month before the class, the entire booking cost still applies. No refunds will be given.
